Oops...I did it again...

Yes, I've been extremely lax in updating my blog again.

Random Thoughts:

UNO played good for about 20 minutes last night: The first 10 and the last 10, the 40 minutes in between were not so hot. Mavs lose to Miami (OH) 5-3. Hopefully they get their feces consolidated and earn a split tonight.

Guess I underestimated the depths to which Omaha's apathy for professional sporting events ran. The Knights are doing miserably at the box office, and aren't much better on the ice. Calgary has deep pockets, though, so hopefully the team will be given time to find a niche, unlike the assholes that ran the Kansas City Outlaws last year without more than a one-year plan.

Huge game for the Bengals tomorrow. The first time in 15 years both Cincinnati and Pittsburgh have met with both teams sporting winning records. The Bengals hold a game-and-a-half lead over Pittsburgh for the AFC North lead, and should be able to stretch it to 2.5.

Darn that POOGA for keeping me from going 3-0 in trivia at BW3's last night. Of course that New Zealand question sucked, too...

Huskers at Mizzou today. I'm not expecting them to win, but if they do, it'll be hysterical.

Not a surprise about the Knights; this is not a great pro sports town. They're about 10 years too late to the market. It's really too soon to tell with them, though. Let's see what they do after football season, and whether they can come up with ways to get people into the games. So far, their marketing seems to be targeted towards stealing UNO and Lancer fans, and not the casual sports fan. That just isn't gonna work...

The Bengals' road to the super bowl runs right through Pittsburgh, and I'm pretty sure that was a tiger I saw dead on the side of the road outside of Paul Brown Stadium. You and all of your bandwagon-jumping buddies got wooped, no matter what that butthead Carson Palmer thinks. Good luck getting the kind of program and fan loyalty that Pittsburgh has enjoyed for 33 years. That's right, dude---consecutive sellouts since 1972! Your coach is a good man, though. I hope the ownership doesn't cut him off at the knees like it has with so many other qualified coaches who have failed in Cincy.

Bwah! Give me a call when the Squeelers can beat the Patriots when it counts. In fact, give me a call when the Squeelers can beat ANYBODY when it counts.

I look forward to the day Cowher's head explodes on the sidelines, though.

That day might actually be coming sooner than you think. The guy looks like he's popping a vein everytime a call doesn't go his way.
